The current study looks at how EFL teachers use teaching methods and strategies to get shy students to participate orally in classes. It seeks to understand the factors that are linked to shyness in speaking in order to develop techniques that will assist students in coping with shyness and improving their oral abilities in order to achieve better results. The sample for this study was made up of first-year English students at Ibn Khaldoun University of Tiaret.
